Cross Creek Women’s 18 Golf League started the season January 8th on a cold, grey morning (45 degrees Fahrenheit) and finished in sunshine (58 degrees Fahrenheit). Twenty-two sturdy women bundled up and played the 18 hole scramble; some a bit stiff from the cold and some a bit stiff because of too many layers. One hardy soul wore shorts and declared “I’m from Michigan, this is nothing!” The temperature did not interfere with the fun and fellowship and maybe provided some with an excuse for the occasional errant ball.
