Two words……HUGE SUCCESS!!!!
Our annual event was held Tuesday February 10th at Cross Creek Golf Club. The spirit of the day was reflected in the bright sunshine and the smiles all around. A big thank you to all the ladies who attended and donated to this worthy cause. Golfers totaled 144 from our club along with several guest clubs joining in the fun golf scramble and games. The biggest thank you to our chairperson, Eileen Small and her co-chair, Linda Piantoni for all their time, efforts & sleepless nights that went into making this year’s outing such a huge success. Many thanks to Jan Klaus, our club president, & committee members who helped secure donations from retailers, put together silent auction gift baskets & make centerpieces. Thanks to Dave Clark & his staff for creating such a lovely room for the ladies to enjoy a delicious lunch. Finally, to the Cross Creek men who added to our fun with their beverage cart, games on the various holes and getting all the golfer’s clubs into carts.
Lois Thome from WINK news gave a warm welcome to get us all started.
This year our donation to Harry Chapin Food Bank was $16,050.
