I would like to begin by thanking the members I have met so far for the warm welcome here at Cross Creek. To those members who are out of state, I look forward to meeting you upon your arrival. One of the things I am going to do is this monthly newsletter, as I feel it’s very important that you are kept up to date on what is happening at the golf course.
Right now, the golf course is in outstanding shape. Our superintendent, Matt, and his staff did a great job with our first green aerification. The greens are rolling true; the fairways are phenomenal. If you haven’t played the course lately, come play. You will not be disappointed.
We have a new chef. Her name is Yurima Nunez. She has made a brand-new menu. I have spoken to golfers who have tried the food. Everyone who I have spoken to has been amazed with the quality of what they have had. Yurima and I will work together to make sure that your time here at Cross Creek is enjoyable.
One of the things we will be doing here is monthly tournaments. Depending on the season, we will hold either an 18-hole event or a nine and dine. Our next event will be an 18-hole scramble on Saturday August 8 with a reverse shotgun beginning at 8:30AM. You can sign up for this either in the pro shop or call us. It is $50 for a member, $70 for a non-member with lunch and prizes included. The deadline for the registration is Friday July 31 at 3PM.
From August 17-24, the golf course will be closed for maintenance. The pro shop will be open Tuesday-Sunday from 8AM-12PM that week. This maintenance is necessary to make sure that we are ready for the busy play in season. Also, in the upcoming future we will be a cashless facility. When I have an exact date for this, I will let you know. We do have an ATM machine in the lobby if you are in need to access cash.
If anyone needs golf lessons, I do offer them for all levels of golfers. No matter if you’re 5 years old, a senior citizen, a beginner, or a scratch golfer, I have individual lessons, group lessons, package lessons, junior camps, or playing lessons. Please feel free to stop in the pro shop or call for pricing. Please schedule these seven days in advance.
In closing, I would like to say our employees work very hard to make Cross Creek the best golf course in the area. We take pride in how we look as well as how we treat our customers. We will answer any question that you have. We will strive to be the best every day. If you have any questions or concerns, my door is open. Feel free to stop in and say hi. Beginning next month, watch for our employee of the month segment.
Hit the ball down the middle and we will have another newsletter for you on August 17.
