Hello, my name is Steve Pinger, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. I am a P.G.A. Professional in good standing and have had a successful career in the golf industry. My wife and I, along with our youngest son, moved to Southwest Florida in 2008. Having previously enjoyed Fort Myers and Sanibel Island for 18 winters, the area felt more like home than just a vacation spot so moving here was the right thing to do. It feels like we have lived here for our entire lives.
After playing golf in college and having some good success at the collegiate level, trying to play the P.G.A. Tour seemed like the thing to do. Chasing that dream began. Spending a few years trying to qualify on Mondays and playing some mini-tour events, you find out these guys are very good, so it was time to find a position as an assistant professional at a local club. I enjoy my time in the golf business. My career has run the gamut from assistant, to head professional, to director of golf, to building and operating a driving range, moving to Florida and becoming a head golf professional again. Through all these experiences one thing remains the same: my love for the game of golf.
