The first Men’s Golf League luncheon of the 2025–2026 season was held in December 2025 at the Clubhouse. After seven years of dedicated service, League President Bruce Rayhorn announced that it was time to step down and allow others to lead. He thanked the members for their continued support of both him and the league. In return, the members expressed their appreciation with warm applause for his outstanding leadership and commitment.
During the luncheon, the Men’s League also conducted elections for new board members. The newly elected officers are Dan Duey, President; Ed Ipema, Treasurer; Larry Conroy, Secretary; and board members Tim Cowin and Rich Dunkailo.
If new to Cross Creek, the Men’s 18 League board wants you. Simply stop in the Pro Shop, sign up, pay the $65 fee and join us each Friday morning.
With the season moving forward in January, for new and returning golfers, the Men’s 18-Hole League is primed for an exciting season, with match play beginning January 9, followed later in the month by Ryder Cup qualifying.
Match play pits two golfers head-to-head, competing hole by hole for the win. With handicaps in play, every match is wide open, and anyone can advance. Depending on participation, match play may extend over several weeks. Sign-up sheets are available in the clubhouse. The entrance fee is $10.
Later in January, qualifying begins for the annual Ryder Cup showdown between Cross Creek and Del Tura Golf Club. This year, Cross Creek will have the home-course advantage as we host the event. After a discouraging tie last year, the team is motivated, and eager to claim the Cup. We encourage all those interested to be a part of qualifying play, bringing your best game, as we build a winning Ryder Cup team!
