Men’s 18-Hole Club Championship

  • May 2026

Dan Duey repeated as the Men’s 18-Hole Club Champion for the second year in a row. This marks his fifth championship in the last few years—an impressive achievement. He secured the title through steady play over the three-day tournament.

Rich Dean was the Net Champion from the Two Tees division. From the Three Tees division, Tim Cowin captured first place, with Les Jankowski finishing second. In the net competition for that division, Bob Reinles placed first and Viv Palm took second.

The Two Tees winner is recognized as the Club Champion, awarded to the player with the lowest number of strokes (gross score). Net winners are determined by subtracting handicaps from total scores.

All Men’s 18-Hole players are welcome to compete in the tournament, provided they meet the minimum number of rounds played prior to the event. Because many competitors know each other well, the tournament is always spirited and filled with sportsmanship—plenty of “good shot” comments, friendly banter, and a bit of competitive one-upmanship. While everyone aims to play well, the event remains enjoyable for all.

Special thanks to Tim Cowin and Bruce Rayhorn for compiling and posting the scores for everyone to see. The Club Championship Awards Luncheon was held on April 3.

Men’s season concludes at the end of April. It was a great season, with rounds played in both warm, sunny weather and more challenging conditions. As the season comes to a close, the Board of Directors thanks all the players for their participation and looks forward to welcoming everyone back for the new season this fall.

At the last Mens-18 league luncheon of the season, both Dan Duey and Rich Dean were honored receiving plagues in recognition of their Championship flight gross and net scores. They as well as other winners received cash rewards as well.
