Notes from the Master Board

  • May 2026

May is here and we are shifting into summer.  Just a reminder…the golf course, Clubhouse, and administrative offices are closed on Mondays through the end of October so plan ahead. There may also be private events scheduled which will require some adjustments to the posted hours. We will do our very best to keep you informed as we go.

Highlights:

Lakes Project Update: Work on Lakes 10/11 should be wrapping up soon. These are the final lakes in this year’s scope of work and brings Phase II of the project to a close. As always, respect all the staging areas and steer clear of active work zones. We appreciate your patience as the crews do their best to complete the work ahead of the rainy season. Once this phase is complete the remaining work required and the budget will be assessed and the next phase will be announced.

Golf Course/Pro Shop: While we are sad to see Marleen Kooker leave we wish her a very happy and well-deserved retirement. Pro Shop hours will be 6:30 – 3:00 during the summer and carts must be returned by 6:30. On the course you can expect some reseeding of the greens. This will require the course to be closed for a few days early in May so check your email or call the Pro Shop to avoid disappointment. Summer reciprocals are an excellent way to experience golf courses in the region. The schedule is under development and will be available by the time you read this.

Restaurant: Keep an eye out for new hours of operation.  The restaurant staff will be rolling out some new menu items for guests to enjoy during the summer. Staff and Board members will begin some strategic planning for next season related to special event nights and customer engagement. Stay tuned for opportunities to provide input.

Monday, May 4, 2026 will be Staff Appreciation Day at Cross Creek.  It coincides with our first Monday closure so if you see some people out playing golf or coming and going in the Clubhouse – this is all part of our Staff Appreciation celebration. We are proud of the service, both seen and unseen, provided to members and guests by our staff and this is our opportunity to say “Thank You”!

Weather Safety Note: Spring brings with it some weather challenges. Afternoon storms are common and come with frequent cloud-to-ground lightening so be aware of the conditions whenever you are out and about. If see you can hear thunder you are in the lightening zone –seek shelter and stay safe.

Website Updates: We will be spending some time updating the Cross Creek website over the coming months. If you notice that something is missing or doesn’t appear correct please email [email protected] and let us know.

Master Board meetings are scheduled for 9:00am on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
