In April, the Cross Creek Beer Club visited Fort Myers’ newest brewery, Resurgence Brewing Company. The visit included a tour of the brewery, a discussion with the brewers, great beer, and food! Beer Club member Ted Knudson organized the event and around 25 people attended!
Resurgence Brewing Company started in Buffalo, New York and opening this brewery in Fort Myers is a big step! The brewery is collocated with Central Rock Gym, a rock climbing facility with all the regular gym amenities. Central Rock Gym is collocated with Resurgence in Buffalo and started a gym in Fort Myers next door to the brewery.
The brewers spent time with the group explaining their brewing process, what is required to make the different beers, and allowed tasting of the different beer styles.
The beer is excellent with a variety of styles, pilsners, lagers, stouts, and a variety of IPA including their signature IPA- Citmo! Something for everyone on tap. There is a full restaurant at the brewery with indoor and outdoor seating. With roots in Buffalo, the chicken wings were awesome!
It is great to have another brewery in Fort Myers and Resurgence is very close to Cross Creek. Giver Resurgence Brewing Company a try this summer!
